Multi-fansite owner Fox McCloud was interviewed by our ex-staff member Tim.
Introduction.
TibiaNews: Welcome Fox McCloud! Let's start off with an introducive question; could you tell our readers who you are and what you do when you are not busy with your famous website TibiaCity?
Fox McCloud: My name is Steven, and I'm a 20 years old Belgium boy. I live in the Flemish side of Belgium so my primary language is Dutch. I study chemistry and I like to travel, play games and work on Tibiacity. Comming summer I will be playing Tibia for 3 years.

Main questions.
TibiaNews: How did you find out about this game? And what attracted you enough to keep playing and even start a website about it?
Fox McCloud: I actually started playing Tibia when I saw my brother playing it. He on his turn heard about it from people of his class. At first I found Tibia stupid, but when I was a little higher leveled I started buying maces in Rookgaard and sold them for more money. after I went to main I hunted Swwamp Trolls in Venore and collected the daggers they carried with them. This allowed me to make over 200gp a day . I remember someone gave me 200gp and I tought OMG that guy is crazy and I was so happy . Later I quited my druid because I died and lost my warhammer which took me very long to buy. I then started the character I still play, Fox Mc Cloud. When my knight, Fox Mc Cloud, was somewhere over level 50 I also started playing on my paladin fox The Giant. I mostly play my knight now (I actually barely play).

TibiaNews: And what got you to make a website about Tibia; TibiaCity?
Fox McCloud: Since the first day I got internet I wanted to create a website already. I first started a Dutch site about Nintendo, but the visitors were always very low and the forum had no members. When I started playing Tibia and I created a guild, I made a guild site that later grew into Tibiacity. I started a guild website and slowly I started to add item pages, articles and other Tibia content; and that’s how Tibiacity started. In September 2004 I started calling it Tibiacity. The first website I had, had adds and pop-ups. It didn’t look very good and was rather annoying. There were a lot of mistakes in the site and it only had some item pages and a few articles and stories.
TibiaNews: Many of us have probably seen the updates at TibiaCity, Why do you think they were needed?
Fox McCloud: Mainly because the amount of visitors was dropping, after the update it got a bit better. If just our host wouldn't have DDOS attacks .
Subquestion: What future developments will make TibiaCity even more worthwhile to visit?
Fox McCloud: At the moment I'm working hard on improoving the spots. In the near future the spots will have a more blog-like look. There will also be a few new features and you'll be able to make money with your blog if you're over 18 years old. A small summary of new features:
- Your forum buddies will be listed on your spot
- Your spot homepage will show your last blog post and last 5 images
- The spots will have a web 2.0 look
- Links to add a user to buddies/ignore

Speed Questions.
TibiaNews: 1 Hint to Cipsoft for future updates?
Fox McCloud: Let users set a message to display to people when they are ignoring PM's. Do something against character rooking when people are hacked. Allow heal friend with crosshairs. Make input fields at labels and letters instead of a large textfield and don't forget the free account players in the next update!
TibiaNews: 1 'Hint for life' to the readers of TibiaNews and TibiaCity!
Fox McCloud: Don't forget that Tibia is just a game. First care about your real life and after that care about Tibia.
